Motorcycle lessons are definitely available at Safety1st Motorcycle lessons can be taken in various ways. Based on an intake lesson, advice is given on the number of lessons to follow. In consultation with the instructor, you can choose between regular or accelerated driving training. The more hours you practice per week, the faster you can take your exam.

We provide lessons for all categories:

Category A1 (125cc) - Light motorcycles
Category A2 (250cc) - Medium motorcycles
Category A (500cc) - Heavy motorcycles

Motorcycle License Categories

Choose the right license for your riding goals

A1 Direct Route

If you are 18, you may take lessons on light motorcycles (A1). From age 17, you may already take the theory exam. At 17, you may also take riding lessons if you have passed your motorcycle theory exam or have your car license. From age 18, you may take the practical exams for vehicle control (AVB) and traffic participation (AVD) for the A1 license.

A2 Direct Route

If you are 20, you may take lessons on medium motorcycles (A2). From age 20, you may take riding lessons if you have passed your motorcycle theory exam or have your car license. From age 20, you may take the practical exams for vehicle control (AVB) and traffic participation (AVD) for the A2 license. If you have the medium category license (A2), you automatically get the A1 license.

A Direct Route

If you are 21, you may take lessons on heavy motorcycles (A). From age 21, you may take riding lessons if you have passed your motorcycle theory exam or have your car license. From age 21, you may take the practical exams for vehicle control (AVB) and traffic participation (AVD) for the A license. This concerns new legislation. As of late November 2017, an A exam for candidates aged 21, 22, and 23 can be booked.

With an A license with code 80 you may ride::

If you obtain the heavy category license (A) directly before your 24th birthday, code 80 will be noted on your license. This means that in the heavy category (A) you may only ride three-wheeled motor vehicles with unlimited power. If you have the heavy category license, you automatically get the A1 and A2 licenses.
